Champions League Final 2019

Tottenham vs Liverpool

Spurs vs The Reds

English club vs English club

What a final we are going to have, ladies and gentlemen.

The last time that two English clubs made it too the UEFA Champions League Final (UCL) was in 2007/08, when Manchester United and Chelsea faced each other at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia. 1-1 was the score after ninety minutes, with neither team finding the winner in the thirty minutes of extra time.

Both teams have staged incredible come backs in the semi-final of this seasons competition. Liverpool were very impressive against Barcelona in the return leg at Anfield, as they put four past the normally confident Ter Stegen. Two goals a piece from Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum confirmed Liverpool’s place in the Champions League Final for the second year running.

Over in Amsterdam, Tottenham staged their own incredible come back against the match favourites, Ajax, who had played surprisingly well up until the match. A Lucas Moura hat trick was the difference between the two sides but at times in the game it was difficult to call who would book their place in the final.

My prediction: 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspur
